Submission of Abstracts

Participants are invited to prepare abstracts for oral presentation or poster presentation within any subject of musculoskeletal radiology. The original abstract must be received before April 17th., 2003. Information about acceptance of a paper or poster will be given shortly there after.

On line abstract submission is welcome via: http://www.essr.org/

Those, who do not have internet access must submit the text as an "rtf" or "word" windows file on a floppy disc and a hard copy print to the Congress Secretariat.

Preparation of abstracts

Abstracts of maximum 200 words will be accepted only in English. Please use simple text format, without any symbols.

The abstracts should be as informative as possible and should include the following:

  • Title in capital letters
  • Begin a new line with author’s names, preceded by initials
  • Do not add Prof., Dr. etc.
  • Type full address including mail and E-mail addresses of first author and the institute where the research has been done.
  • Begin abstract text on a new line without indentation
  • Do not include tables or references
  • Paper size: A4
  • The abstract will be printed using simple text files by computer printing

 

Presentation format

Podium presentations: will take place in Free Communications Sessions. Each paper will be strictly timed to 7 minutes, with an additional 2 minutes discussion time.

Posters: PC presentations only will be possible. Prepare a CD in Power Point 2000 or a previous version with a maximum of 15 images or text sides. Poster Sessions will take place every day and authors will be asked to be present during the breaks to be able to discuss their poster. Four PC’s with screen projectors will be available.

ESSR/ISS scientific award: The best scientific paper will be awarded by payment of travel and accommodations expenses (max. 1.000 Euros) for participation in the next ISS meeting. The winner has to be a non-ISS member, and the ISS will invite him/her to submit their paper to be considered for the ISS Sunday afternoon scientific meeting. The winner will be invited to attend both the Closed Meeting and the entire Refresher Course free of charge, and will receive one year’s free subscription of Skeletal Radiology

Abstracts which have been accepted will be published in the Abstract Book and will also be published on the web site: www.essr.org
